Little, Penton-Voak et al. (2003) have found that for both men and women they are most likely to be partnered with someone with the same hair colour and eye colour as their opposite sex parent. This web-based questionnaire involved 697 participants (including heterosexuals, homosexuals, and bisexuals), and controlled for both own and same-sex parent characteristics. The analysis found significant correlations for hair colour and eye colour for men, but only for eye colour with women.
The challenge is really in how to use this spine tingling bit of information!
Women are more likely to be attracted to men with the same eye colour as their fathers.

There are researches about everything,LOL,and I don't think we should believe everything they seem to prove, but I found this one and I copied it,not so much because I belive it but because it is related to Sansa and Sandor.
In my case this would be false, because my father was blond and my husbanda has black hair,my father had hazel eyes and my husband's are dark brown. They aren't so different anyway because there are coindinces, their looks being very manly, with square jaws, big noses or thin lips. They are both tall and broad-shouldered.I also think that colour is less important than bone structure and this kind of things when we compare the type of men or women we are attracted to.
But if this study is true,it bides well for Sandor, because he has the same eye colour as Ned Stark and he also has dark hair, like him. After reading Benjen description it's clear that Sandor's bone structure is very similar to his because they are both gaunt and sharp-featured. I've also read in other studies that both women and men tend to like partners who resemble their opposite sex parents although I'd never heard eye or hair colour mattered one bit. Leaving colouring aside these studies are we-known and perhaps George applied them. We have three redheads attracted to dark-haired harsh-featured men in Cat,Sansa and Igritte. For Cat and Ygritte it was true love although it ended tragically. I hope Sansa and Sandor have a better luck,God knows they haven't been so happy thus far.
