Only one scene with Sansa tonight, and it wasn't anything particularly "traumatic" (unless you count LF kissing her, which was pretty traumatic for ME anyway)... The whole thing took place in the Winterfell crypts, where Sansa was lighting candles for her dead ancestors...
...but no Ned?? LF gave Cat his bones in Season 2, why is there not an effigy for Ned? Even in the books, they started to build one even though his bones are M.I.A. I was expecting some tearful moment as Sansa paid homage to her dead father, but.... No. Instead, she lingers in front of Lyanna's effigy. And then in strolls Littlefucker to do what he does best -- appropriate someone else's story and iconic lines. He proceeds to tell her all about the Tourney at Harrenhal, claiming he was actually there (I don't think it's ever stated one way or another that he is there in the books, but it's never stated that the Tullys are either, and he was their ward at the time, soooo...).
He tells Sansa all about Rhaegar passing over Elia in favor of Lyanna, and the following dialogue occurs:
The hell just happened there?? Correct me if I am wrong (and I might be, my memory is fuzzy on this), but didn't Sansa accept the "tragic love story" version of Rhaegar & Lyanna as opposed to the "kidnap & rape" version that she no doubt grew up with?? That aside, though, what the hell was going on with this line? Was she inferring something about LF himself? Was she foreshadowing her own fate??? Or is it another one of those lines from the show that are meant to seem really deep and meaningful but is actually completely devoid of either??
Anyway, he then tells Sansa that he's peacing out for King's Landing, and she's like uuuuhhhh you're just gonna LEAVE me here?? And he's all, don't worry, gurl, Stannis is coming!! He'll totes wipe out Roose and you'll become Wardeness of the North, yaaayy! And Sansa's like, wtf, what if that doesn't happen? What Stannis doesn't come, or what if he does and the Boltons win? And LF sez, well, then you're just gonna have to "make Ramsay yours." She says she doesn't know how, but LF disagrees because she's "learned from the best". Then he kissed her on the lips which she has zero reaction to, and then she later says that she'll be a married woman by the time he sees her again... which is odd, because she's a married woman RIGHT THIS SECOND. He pats her on the arm like a bro and then just leaves her there. Oooookay.
As shitty as it is for LF to just leave her by herself in WF, I'm actually kinda glad, because (a) SHE'LL BE AWAY FROM HIM FINALLY, thank the gods, and (b) that means she'll have to rely on herself and her own devices to get out of this situation, and I am all for Sansa rescuing herself for a change.
(P.S. - Amplifyme made a really good point on Tumblr that, of all the guys Sansa has been paired with on the show so far, Sandor is the only one who was actually taller than her. Could that actually mean something??)
The only other thing of note in this episode was....
THE KILLED BARRISTAN SELMY.
Yep, Barristan the Badass got shanked in an alley by some Sons of the Harpy who managed to overtake about a dozen Unsullied. Like, wtf, really?? First of all, I thought the Unsullied are killing machines... How are they being overtaken by a bunch of street rabble?? And REALLY, this is how Barristan the Bold is gonna go out?? Trying to fight off 5 guys at once because the Unsullied are suddenly useless?? RIP-OFF!!!!!
